Jelica was born in Belgrade and graduated from the Acadamy of Drama Arts Belgrade in the acting masterclass of Vladimir Jevtović. She is known for a great number of successful roles in film and TV serias as well as theater plays in Serbia and the region. Beside her acting career, Jelica successfully worked as producer and organizer of theater plays and TV shows.
Siniša Galić is a Berlin based filmmaker born in 1984 in Tuzla (Yugoslavia). Since 1992 he lives and works in Berlin where he finished his Cinematography studies in 2013. In 2014 he starts a master degree in TV & Film Directing at the Faculty of Drama Arts Belgrade (Serbia). During the last years he worked as director, cinematographer, editor for german and serbian TV- and filmproductions. Siniša directed several short films anddocumentaries as well as the feature Open Cage which has been presented and awarded at national and international film festivals.
Documentary Director from the National Film and Television School in UK. At the NFTS I found my voice within intimate and sensitive filmmaking that often deals with existential or socially relevant themes. I try to make films with an emotional depth.
“Dreaming of Denmark” (2015) marked the end of 3 1/2 years following the unaccompanied minor refugee, Wasiullah, in his underground life through Europe while struggling to find out who he is and where he belongs. The film was nominated for the F:ACT Award at CPH:DOX.
“The Last Night Shift” (2012) about volunteers keeping dying people company earned me a nomination for the Liv&Død Prisen in my native Denmark and “No Man’s Land” (2013) – a portrait of a Children’s Asylum Centre – was selected for IDFA and 25+ international festivals winning prizes in Theran, Hamburg and Belgrade. I have also had experience with experimental filmmaking with the abstraction “An Anxious Mind” (2011) that a.o. was selected for Australian International Experimental Film Festival.
I have a BA in Film, Media Studies and Psychology from Copenhagen University and have worked as a cultural journalist at the national broadcaster in Denmark (DR). My first documentary was “Toxic Ground” (2006) about pollution in my hometown, Grindsted. “Toxic Ground” aired on DR2 and was selected for CPH:DOX.
Tomislav Aleksov is Film and TV director, born in 1966 in Skopje (Republic of Macedonia), in 1987 he starts his studies at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television ( AGRFT) in Ljubljana (Slovenia), where he graduates in 1995 with his feature film “Cry of the mute Indian”. He studied in the class of professors Matjaz Klopcic and Karpo Godina.
During the 1988-1998 periods he works as a freelance director for TV Slovenija, working on more than 4.000 projects from all genres. In the period since 2000 is engaged in Macedonian Television, where he continues active work.
With his important works he has participated in festivals in Europe, North America, Asia and Africa ( 3 feature TV films, 7 documentaries and 3 short films) where he successfully presented his work. Tomislav also directed 5 television series, with a total of more than 200 episodes. Aleksov is currently on contract with the Macedonian Television.
